1. Whats your favorite camera & why?

Anything that shoots in 6x9, really—I love the luxurious size and the speed of roll film. I usually use a Mamiya Universal Press, but it has its ups and downs. The Nikon F2AS my dad gave me will always have a special place in my heart.

2. What type of photographer would you describe yourself as/how would you describe your photographic style?

I've been shooting street work most of my life. It's a mix of geometry, showing how the big city minimizes or erases people, and finding emotion in public spaces.

But my style is in flux in a big way right now. I'm starting to move toward more conceptual, image-making instead of image-hunting work. It seems to be heading toward a parodic and darkly reflective look at certain modern trends. I'm also trying out manipulation of the image itself through toners, bleach, scratching negatives, etc. I don't have anything to show yet, though!

3. Whats your dream photo shoot?

I'm just not in a place where I can answer that and not hate my answer a month from now. I'm still in a very exploratory phase.

4. Whats the longest you've spent on a project/most in depth you've gone?

I've spent a few full days working on industrial architectural shots with a field camera. Scouting locations, working out camera placement, waiting for the right light, etc. That is going to be topped by an upcoming conceptual work, though.

5. How long have you lived in Bushwick/Brooklyn/New York?

Way to make assumptions! I've lived in Queens for about 4 years and around NYC for 9. I grew up nearby, though.
