Opening: January 13, 2018, 6 - 9pm
Photographer Franey Miller’s body of work has been centered around making artful images of people and plant life since she began taking photos as a child. “Human Nature” is a recent selection of brightly colored images presented at the Bushwick Community Darkroom.
Much like how she photographs people, Franey’s intention while shooting different plant life is to always personify the flower and give it movement and a voice. The photos on display were selected to showcase a visual comparison of flowers and models in a fashion environment moving in similar ways.
Franey developed the film and created all of the darkroom prints at BCD.
