Featuring Comedy and Music Stylings of Ian Goldstein, classical opera by soprano Rachel Hutchins, and original music by Wise & Young

Ian Goldstein is a writer and performer based in Brooklyn. When he's not producing and performing in comedy shows he can be found busking with his guitar in subway stations or eating doughnuts while thinking about the aging process. See him perform and you might have fun and doughnuts with him.

Wise & Young is the Boston-based duo of percussionist Peter Wise and violinist Jeffrey Young, who create electronically effected instrumental music. The duo mines classical, rock, jazz and electronic influences and pulls nuance and wonder as much from traditional instruments like violin and drums as from found materials, pots and pans, and eviscerated ’80s drum machines. They develop their music collaboratively through a process of improvisation, recording, and revision.

Peter and Jeffrey met in New York City’s creative music scene during their years living in the city, then reconnected after each moved independently to the Allston/Brighton section of Boston. Their initial work together was supported by an Opportunity Fund grant from the Boston Cultural Council, which provided funding and a venue, the Harvard Ed Portal, for their duo premiere in March 2019.
