What do the different developing options mean?

  • Developing, also known as processing, means using chemicals to turn your exposed film into negatives.

  • Scanning means to turn the negatives into digital files which you can view on a computer or a phone.

  • Printing means making paper copies of the images that you can hold in your hand. Prints are not included with film developing, however if you get scans you can select which images you want printed and order the prints from our online customer portal.

How are scanned files delivered? Can you put my photos on a CD or flash drive?

  • You’ll receive an email with a link to view or download your photos via Dropbox. We do not burn CD’s or put images on USB drives.

How do I get my film back?

  • While we are currently without a brick & mortar home we are offering free round trip shipping on all orders. When our new storefront is ready for us we will offer pick up as an option again.

  • If you would like your film mailed back simply select that option when you fill out the form online or in person and provide a full mailing address. We’ll mail your film back for no additional charge, it makes us happy not to throw it out.

  • If you are in the neighborhood you can select “Pick up in Bushwick” and we will file your order alphabetically by last name in the bins on the shelves in our entryway. We will discard any film older than 30 days.
