  • What do the different developing options mean?

    • Developing, also known as processing, means using chemicals to turn your exposed film into negatives.

    • Scanning means to turn the negatives into digital files which you can view on a computer or a phone.

    • Printing means making paper copies of the images that you can hold in your hand. Prints are not included with film developing, however if you get scans you can select which images you want printed and order the prints from our online customer portal.

  • How are scanned files delivered? Can you put my photos on a CD or flash drive?

    • You’ll receive an email with a link to view or download your photos on our secure customer portal. Once you sign in, you have the option to add the files to your Dropbox account or order prints. We do not burn CD’s or put images on USB drives.

  • Do you develop disposable cameras?

    • Yes! Disposable cameras have a standard roll of 35mm color negative film inside. The cost to develop and scan film from a disposable camera is $11 + tax.

  • Can I get prints with my order?

    • If you get scans with your order, you can purchase 4x6 proof prints ($0.35 each) through our customer portal.

  • Is there a student discount?

    • Nope. We keep our prices as low as possible in order to make our services accessible to everyone.

  • Are you hiring?

    • We are a volunteer-run organization and do not have any paid positions available. If you’re interested in volunteering in exchange for lab time, you can add your name to the waiting list for an open position.

  • Do you sell film, cameras, or paper?

    • Sometimes, depending on what we have in stock at the moment. Please email us to inquire. We plan to more consistently stock these items beginning in Summer 2018.
