Private Analog Photography Experiences in Brooklyn

Hands-on cyanotype workshops, darkroom tours, live printing demos, and disposable camera developing experiences for teams, schools, creative groups, and private events.

What to Expect

Bushwick Community Darkroom hosts guided analog photography experiences for groups of all kinds — from corporate teams and creative agencies to schools, clubs, and private celebrations. No photo experience is needed. We provide the materials, guide the process, and help your group make something memorable together.

❋ No Experience Needed

Beginner-friendly activities designed for people who may have never touched a film camera or stepped inside a darkroom.

❋ Hands-On & Memorable

Your group won’t just watch a demo — they’ll make cyanotypes, explore the darkroom, or experience analog photography in real time.

❋ Materials Included

We provide the supplies, setup, guidance, and cleanup so the experience feels smooth and low-lift.

❋ Uniquely Brooklyn

Hosted inside a working community darkroom near the L train at Dekalb, not a generic event room with sad fluorescent lighting.

Looking for something custom? These are starting points. Tell us what you’re planning, and we’ll help shape the right analog experience for your group.

Disposable Cameras + Alternative Film Developing

We’ll mail one disposable camera for each person in your group after the deposit is paid. Before the workshop, everyone shoots their roll on their own time — around the office, at home, on a night out, or wherever the story starts.

Then your group comes to Bushwick Community Darkroom for a guided demo-style developing workshop using an experimental film developer like caffenol, beerenol, or winol. We’ll batch develop the rolls together, talk through the process, and enjoy a relaxed, social analog experience. No photo or darkroom experience needed.
