I am a photographer of environments and emotional states. My photographic practice explores the spaces between the binaries that we navigate; between what is and what cannot be; between what we cherish and what we lose; between what has existed and what has passed; and between joys, wishes and fears. My photographs are often spontaneous, to capture where my mind might be at a given moment. Though not topical, they capture the world as it is being changed by humans as reflected in species extinction, climate change, habitat loss and the extreme loss of human life due to the wars that haunt our everyday existence and live with us just below the surface. Through this focus on the natural world, with human nature included, my photographic practice has truth as its subject through the everyday facts or our existence.
