Comes from the habit
of instant satisfaction.
The cry of my joints
from the push and pull
of my nervous system.

A mirror placed so high,
The wall across,
No sight of me.
The light,
diced by blind and bar
Adapted to illuminate
my cheekbone.
As if security was vanity,
I flutter at my Imperfections.
It isn’t me, it may be
The negativity of improvement.
